John joined ThinkPanmure in February 2005 and is currently a Partner and Head of Wealth Management in the San Francisco office. John spent the past three years working in family office environments directing asset allocation strategies for unique trust and estate vehicles and implementing these plans with independent investment firms. He founded and managed a single client family office and then transitioned into a multi-client family office with Harris myCFO. John had been with Thomas Weisel Partners as a Vice President where he worked with the firm's corporate finance clients developing diversification strategies to solve the needs of concentrated equity holders. Prior to Thomas Weisel Partners, John worked at Montgomery Securities, in the Investment Management Consulting group, developing asset allocation strategies and performing investment manager due diligence. John received a BA in Economics from Amherst College.
Michael Kress joined ThinkPanmure in January 2005 as a Principal. Michael is a portfolio manager in ThinkWealth Management. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Michael was a Managing Director with the Bank of America Private Bank, and held positions at Bear Stearns and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (Credit Suisse First Boston) where he spent the bulk of his career. Michael received a BA in Business Administration from Ohio University. Michael and his wife Linda and two children live in San Francisco and are actively involved in the community.
Joyce joined ThinkPanmure as a Principal in December 2004. She was previously a Director and Private Client Advisor with the Bank of America Private Bank. Joyce began working with high net-worth families in 1985 at the former Montgomery Securities. While there she developed a specialization in the structuring and implementation of asset allocation strategies for individual clients utilizing multiple independent asset managers. Joyce is a trustee of the Contemporary Jewish Museum and a member of the investment committee of the Jewish Community Federation Endowment Fund. Joyce received a BA from the University of Michigan, an MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching) from Stanford University and an MBA from Golden Gate University. 
Jordan Gersch joined the wealth management team at ThinkPanmure in March 2005. He is a Vice President working out of the San Francisco office. Jordan spent the prior two years as part of the iShares group at Barclays Global Investors, focused on educating financial advisors about exchange traded funds. He previously spent two years at Banc of America Securities where he was a NASDAQ position trader. Jordan began his career in the Investment Management Consulting group at Montgomery Securities, developing asset allocation strategies and performing investment manager due diligence. He earned his BA from Colgate University in 1998.
Tony Cantando joined ThinkPanmure as an Associate in January 2005 and is a portfolio manager in ThinkWealth Management working along side Michael Kress. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Tony worked at Bank of America Private Bank and Wedbush Morgan Securities where he began he is career as a Market Maker. Tony received a BSE in Business from St. Mary's College of California.
Kirk Lawton is a Vice President in the Corporate and Venture Services Group. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Kirk was a member of the team that built an equity distribution platform at Silicon Valley Bank. Prior to Silicon Valley Bank, Kirk spent 8 years at Banc of America Securities in Operations, Corporate Services and Trading. Kirk received degrees in History and English from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
