Vijay Rakesh, Senior Semiconductor Research AnalystVijay Rakesh joined ThinkPanmure Chicago office in April 2008, as our Senior Semiconductor Research Analyst focusing on the Analog, Memory and PC Semiconductors. Prior to ThinkPanmure, Vijay was the lead semiconductor analyst at Oppenheimer for almost 3 years, and before that held research associate positions at Investec Ernst and Piper Jaffray. Before starting his 7 year Wall Street career, Vijay worked in the semiconductor industry for 6 years at International Rectifier Corp where he held engineering and management positions in the power IC Fab in El Segundo, California. Vijay is a graduate of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), has a Masters in Materials Science from the University of Florida, Gainesville and an MBA (Finance) from the Anderson School, UCLA.
Rajesh Ghai, Vice President, Storage Networking ResearchRajesh is a Vice President and Senior Research Analyst focused on the data storage and networking sector. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure in 2007, Rajesh spent 7 years in leadership positions in technology development and product management at organizations such as i2 Technologies and Orcom Solutions (which was acquired by Alliance Data Systems). This experience includes two years where Rajesh reported directly to the CTOw and assisted with technology evaluations, build-or-buy decisions and management oversight of key technology projects. Rajesh is a graduate of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur (IITK), and an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, where he graduated as a Fuqua Scholar.

Randy is a Partner and Director of Research at ThinkPanmure. Previously, he served as a senior sales trader at ThinkPanmure. Prior to ThinkPanmure, Randy was a Partner at Wessels, Arnold & Henderson (WAH), an investment banking boutique focused exclusively on growth stocks. After the sale of WAH to Dain Rauscher, Randy created Bayview Partners, where he served as General Partner. Prior to joining WAH, Randy headed the Lehman Brothers Chicago office. Randy began his institutional sales career at Dain Bosworth in 1990. There he created the first Sales team and pushed to move the entire sales force to a teach approach. Randy received his BA and his MBA from the University of Minnesota.
Michael is a Managing Director and Associate Director of Research. He was formerly in Equity Research at Merrill Lynch & Co. in San Francisco, where he was a member of the Global Growth Group, covering small and mid-cap growth stocks. Mike was previously a research associate at Montgomery Securities in the Growth Stock Strategy group, focused on identifying emerging trends and industries and was also actively involved in the creation of the Montgomery Growth Index. Mike earned his BA in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1995.
Suresh is a Partner and a Senior Research Analyst focusing on Semiconductor and Flat Panel Capital Equipment. He joined ThinkPanmure in October of 2002. Previously, he worked as a Research Analyst at Robertson Stephens and as an associate at Adams, Harkness and Hill covering Semiconductor Equipment and Foundries segment. Prior to his Wall Street tenure, Suresh spent four years in the semiconductor industry in engineering and management positions. Suresh received an MBA in Finance from Columbia University, New York and an MS in Materials Science from Rice University, Houston, TX. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai. 
Bill Morrison joined ThinkPanmure in September 2007 and is currently a Partner covering the Internet and online media sectors. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Bill worked at JMP Securities Inc. as a Senior Analyst covering the Internet and online media sectors from 2005 - present. Before JMP, Bill was a member of Citigroup Smith Barney's U.S. Equity Research Department following the Internet, online media and eCommerce stocks from 2002 until joining JMP. In both 2003 and 2004, Citigroup Smith Barney's coverage of the sector was ranked second by Institutional Investor in the magazine's annual review of sellside U.S. equity research providers. Prior to 2002, Bill worked at Bowman Capital Management, where he evaluated late stage venture capital investments in the Internet, telecommunications and enterprise software industries. Additionally, Bill was a co-founder of PlatinumHealth.com, a healthcare application service provider, and was Director of Business Development for Eagle River Interactive, which provided Internet design, development and systems integration services. Bill holds a M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Colgate University.
Nate is a Partner and Senior Software Analyst following the Knowledge and Human Capital Management industry. Areas of coverage include content management and collaboration, as well as Talent Management - software and services that help companies attract, retain and leverage their human capital assets. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure in 2001, Nate worked at Craig-Hallum Capital Group (1998-2001) as a senior technology analyst, and prior to that as Assistant Vice President in equity research for Principal Financial Securities (1995-1998), where he covered emerging growth companies. Nate holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and graduated cum laude from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, where he received his BA in Economics and Finance.
Atul joined ThinkPanmure in February 2006 a is currently Vice-President of the Application Software Research Team. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Atul worked in business development with Ideate, an Autodesk Channel Partner. Previously, Atul also worked as Equity Research Analyst with Smith New Court (now Merrill Lynch.) Atul received his MBA from Haas School of Business at University of Berkeley, Masters in Management from University of Bombay and Bachelors in Electronics Engineering from University of Allahabad. He is currently working towards his CFA designation.
Mike joined ThinkPanmure in April 2004 and is a Principal focused on Wireless Components and Enabling Technologies. Prior to joining the firm, Mike worked as an analyst for sales teams at Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan / Hambrecht & Quist, and he previously held positions in Investment Accounting with GT Global / AIM Funds and Phoenix Duff & Phelps. Mike received his BS in Business Administration and Accounting from Washington & Lee University, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Jonathan joined ThinkPanmure in June 2005 as Managing Director. He is head of Greentech research. Formerly, Jonathan was Next-gen Computing & Communications Analyst. Before joining ThinkPanmure, Jonathan focused on Technology at WmSmith & Co. and covered IT Hardware, Software and Services at UBS as Associate Director. He also covered Oil and Gas Exploration and Production at Salomon Smith Barney and PaineWebber as an Associate Research Analyst. Jonathan began his sell-side career at Goldman Sachs in Sales and later moved to the Equity Capital Markets desk of Deutsche Bank, both in Hong Kong. Jonathan holds a MBA from the Wharton School and an MA in International Studies from the School of Arts and Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania. Jonathan received a BS in Finance from Brigham Young University.
Michael joined ThinkPanmure in November 2004 and is a Principal and Senior Analyst covering the Application Software sector. His specific focus segments include PLM, Business Intelligence, SCM, and On-Demand. Previously, Michael was a senior research associate at Schwab SoundView Capital Markets and at RBC Capital Markets covering Enterprise Software. Before that, he was a technology architecture manager at Accenture for over 5 years, where he focused on ecommerce across vertical segments. Michael received his MBA from Columbia University and his BS in electrical engineering from Cornell University.
Eric joined ThinkPanmure in 2006, and is a Principal in Research focusing on networking and communications. He came to ThinkPanmure from Needham & Company, where he covered communications companies. Prior to Needham, Eric advised entrepreneurial companies on strategy and finance. Before that he served as a senior manager at AT&T (later Lucent) in a number of international sales, business development, and marketing roles. The initial stages of Eric's career were spent in software R&D and computer sales with the former Data General (now part of EMC), and as a market analyst at IDC. Eric earned his MBA from Wharton, and his BSE in Computer Science & Engineering from UConn.
Michael joined ThinkPanmure in October 2005 as Vice President. Prior to joining, Michael was a Senior Analyst focusing on Enterprise & PC Hardware and broad-line distribution at UBS. He also brings with him 11 years of engineering experience from IBM. He holds an MBA from NYU in Finance and Accounting, an MS in Materials Science from Columbia University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Michael is also a Level III Candidate for the CFA.
James joined ThinkPanmure in November, 2005 and is an analyst focused on Education. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, James co-founded a quantitative marketing analysis consulting firm serving clients including Charles Schwab & Co. and Wells Fargo Bank. He also worked in Financial Planning and Analysis at Visa U.S.A., and was Corporate Controller at OffRoad Capital. He holds a BS with honors in Computer Science from Seton Hall University and earned an MBA from The Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Steve joined ThinkPanmure in January 2006 and is currently a Principal covering medical devices. Previously, he was an equity research associate at Lazard Capital Markets. Before Wall Street, he worked several years for Medtronic's spinal division in sales and marketing in Europe and sales management in South America. Prior to entering the corporate world he was a production assistant at CBS, did freelance reporting for NPR and worked at an ecological reserve in the Amazon. Steve received an MBA from New York University and a BA in broadcast journalism from Brigham Young University.
Soham Pandya, Principal, Biotechnology, Metabolic Disorders Research Soham Pandya joined ThinkPanmure in June of 2007 as a Principal in Equity Research focusing on the Biotechnology sector with a specialty in coverage of metabolic disorders. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, he was a Senior Analyst covering the Biotechnology sector at Susquehanna Financial Group and at Citigroup. He also worked in Equity Research focusing on the biotechnology sector at PaineWebber and Lehman Brothers. Prior to his Wall Street tenure, he worked in industry as a research scientist at Merck. Soham received an MBA from Seton Hall University and a BA in Biochemistry from Rutgers University.
Budong (Peter) Peng is Vice President in Greentech research, focusing on solar, wind power, clean coal, among others. Peter brings with him technology and business experiences as a veteran IT consultant and manager in New York. From 2002 to 2003 Peter headed a project in building the InterChange Center at China Unionpay in Shanghai. He also co-founded a wireless technology company in China. Peter received his MBA with distinction from NYU Stern School of Business, MS in Applied Physics from Columbia University, and BS in Space Physics from Wuhan University.
Suzanne B. Price joined ThinkPanmure in August 2006 and is a Vice President/Senior Analyst focused on the Green Living Sector. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Suzanne worked as an Analyst for Crown Advisors, a small capitalization focused asset management firm, based in New York. Prior to that, Suzanne was an Associate researching investment opportunities for Giuliani Partners LLC. More recently, Suzanne spent time as an Associate with Aquillian Investments LLC, an investment consulting firm. Suzanne received an MBA from Columbia Business School, a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University, and a BA in Philosophy from Northwestern University.
Jonathan Ruykhaver joined ThinkPanmure in June 2007 as a Managing Director focusing on the Infrastructure Software sector. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Jonathan was Senior Vice President covering the Infrastructure Software sector for seven years at Raymond James. He began his career in research in 1996 at SunTrust Equitable Securities where he covered IT services and Infrastructure Software. Jonathan received his BA in history from Tufts University and participated in a Masters Program in Applied Economics at the University of Michigan. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Ed joined ThinkPanmure in March 2003. He is a Managing Director and Senior Retail/Consumer Analyst. His focus on quality companies that can profitably capture increasing shares of the huge consumer sector made him an early advocate of Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Price Company and Kohl's, among others, while his thorough and insightful company and sector analysis brought multi-year recognition on both the Institutional Investor Analyst and Stock-Picker polls. Ed began his career at Sanford C. Bernstein and has been a partner at both Montgomery Securities and Robertson Stephens. Ed received his BA from Penn State and did graduate work at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. 
David Woodburn joined the GreenTech research team in 2008, focusing on next-generation biofuels and water resources. He joined ThinkPanmure in July 2007 as a Principal, Senior Research Analyst as part of the Biotech team. Prior to ThinkPanmure, David covered the Specialty Pharmaceuticals sector and was part of the Large-Cap Pharmaceuticals team at Prudential Equity Group. Before joining Prudential, David helped lead commercial and risk evaluations of pipeline drugs at Searle/Pharmacia (now part of Pfizer). Prior to that, he spent nine years in various business development, marketing, and product development positions at Baxter Healthcare. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago, and studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois - Urbana.
