Philip JohnstonPhilip joined ThinkPanmure in September 2005 as a Partner and is Head of Brokerage. Previously, he was a Managing Director and Head of Sales Trading at First Albany. Prior to that he held Partner and Managing Director titles in Sales Trading at H&Q and Chase H&Q respectively.

Rob McClanahan, Partner and Head of Sales Trading

Rob McClanahanRob joined ThinkPanmure in March 2002 and is currently a Partner, Head of Sales Trading, and on the Executive Committee. He began his career as a Sales Trader with Morgan Stanley in 1985. Following his tenure with Morgan Stanley, Rob was at Bear Stearns in Chicago for nearly six years; and later commenced an eight-year association with U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray as a Managing Director in its Institutional Equities Group. Rob attended the University of Minnesota and was a member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Gold Medal Hockey Team.

Jack Monopoli, Partner and Head of Trading

Jack MonopoliJack is a Partner and Head of Trading. Jack has over 12 years of trading experience. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Jack worked at Standard Pacific Corp as a Block Trader, and before that he held a Managing Director position at Thomas Weisel Partners and at Piper Jaffray. Jack graduated with a BS and BA in Finance from Boston University.

Steve DragosStephen is a Partner and Institutional Sales Trader. He comes to ThinkPanmure with over 17 years of trading experience. Most recently, Stephen worked as a Managing Director, Equity Trading for U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray in Minneapolis, Minnesota. From 1989 to 1993, he worked for Ferris, Baker & Watts as an Equity Trader. Stephen holds a BS degree from Pace University.

Albert Hanser, Partner and Head of Boston Sales

Albert HanserAlbert joined ThinkPanmure in the fall of 2003 and in 2007 was made Partner. Albert is a Managing Director in Institutional Sales, in the Boston office. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Albert was a broker at Deutsche Bank Alex Brown for six years in their London & New York offices. Prior to that Albert worked as a sales trader at Piper Jaffray. Albert is a graduate from Brown University where he focused on Political Science and Ancient History.

Michael PhilippsMichael Philipps joined ThinkPanmure in March 2007 as a Partner and Senior Sales Trader based in the firm's New York office. Michael's experience spans nearly twenty years in institutional brokerage, starting in 1989 through 1999 at Furman Selz, followed by work at CIBC World Markets and ABN Amro Securities LLC and Harris Nesbitt. Immediately prior to joining TEP, Michael was at Ladenburg Thalmann Co. in New York. Michael is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan.

Bob White, Partner and Head of West Coast Sales

Bob WhiteBob is a Partner and Head of West Coast Sales at ThinkPanmure. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Firm's Senior Management. Bob has more than 30 years of experience in institutional sales and trading, having most recently served as a senior sales person at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB). Prior to CSFB, Bob was head of institutional sales at Volpe Brown Whelan & Co. He previously held senior positions at Montgomery Securities for 17 years and Morgan Stanley for 5 years.

Eric Wilson, Partner, Institutional Equity Sales

Eric WilsonEric is a Partner in Institutional Equity Sales. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Eric worked in the Institutional Sales Department at Piper Jaffray & Hopwood, where he was a member of the Advisory Council and was the top producer in the firm for 10 of 14 years. During that time, Piper's Equity Capital Markets grew from $20 million in revenue to more than $440 million. Eric has also worked in the International Lending Department of Norwest Bank and in the Corporate Finance Department of Morgan Guaranty Limited in London. Eric graduated from St. Olaf College in 1980 with a degree in Economics and Political Science.

Jason Hahn, Managing Director, Institutional Sales

Jason HahnJason joined ThinkPanmure in the fall of 2006 as a Managing Director covering accounts in New York, Connecticut and the Midwest. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Jason was instrumental in building out boutique research sales platforms as a SVP at MJSK Inc. in Minneapolis and as a Managing Director and Partner at Fulcrum Global Partners in New York City. Prior to MJSK and Fulcrum Global Partners, Jason was a Principal and top producer at Piper Jaffray where he helped to establish its New York sales and trading office. Prior to his start in Finance, Jason enjoyed several years of industry experience in the medical device sector where he worked as a Regional Sales Manager for Zeiss/Meditec (ophthalmic surgical and diagnostic equipment) and as a distributor for Midwest Surgical Services (now a subsidiary of TLC Vision). Jason attended Carleton College and the University of St.Thomas in Minnesota.

Jonathan started his Wall Street career at Salomon Bros., where he was part of their Institutional Equity Sales team from 1983-1994 After leaving Salomon Brothers, Jonathan worked in Institutional Sales at several Wall Street firms prior to joining Kaufman Bros. in 1996. Jonathan received a BS in Finance from the University of Richmond and played second row on the schools Rugby Club.

Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Matt was a Managing Director in sales trading at Bear Stearns. Cynthia Whitney Cynthia Whitney joined ThinkPanmure in October 2006 as a Principal in Institutional Sales. Prior to joining Think, Cynthia was with Sanders Morris Harris where she was instrumental in successfully building the institutional business with large NYC and Boston based accounts. Cynthia held positions in institutional sales at both Mc Donald Investments (currently KeyBanc) and Deutsche Bank Alex Brown. Earlier in her career, she worked on the buy-side marketing quantitative investment strategies to pension funds, endowments & foundations. Cynthia graduated with a BA from the University of Arizona with honors.
