Deborah Quazzo, Co-Founder, President and Head of Investment Banking

Deborah QuazzoDeborah Quazzo is President and the co-founding partner of ThinkPanmure. She heads the Firm's Investment Banking practice. Deborah is a Board member of Panmure Gordon (LON:PMR). Formerly a Managing Director in Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch & Co., where she worked from 1987-2001, Deborah founded and headed Merrill Lynch's Global Growth Group. She previously worked at JP Morgan. Deborah serves on The Woman's Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital; the Board of Directors of Marwen, an organization that educates and inspires under-served young people through the visual arts; and the Board of Directors of America's Promise Alliance, a multi-sector collaborative dedicated to the well being of children and youth. Deborah is also the Chicago Campaign Chair of Princeton University's current capital campaign and serves as a trustee of the Illinois Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. Deborah graduated cum laude with a BA in history from Princeton University in 1982 and an MBA from Harvard University in 1987.

Shez Bandukwala, Partner and Head of Alternative Energy Investment Banking

Shez BandukwalaShez is a Partner in the Chicago office and heads the firm's Alternative Energy / Greentech Investment Banking sector. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, he was Founder and President of Hilco Enterprise Valuation Services, LLC, a division of Hilco Trading, LLC, where he led valuation teams on approximately 120 transactions in less than three years. Prior to that, he had 10 years of investment banking experience at William Blair & Company, LLC, where he was a Principal in Corporate Finance and focused on business development and leading execution teams. While at Blair, he advised his clients on approximately 60 public and private financings, mergers and acquisitions representing over $4 billion in transaction value. Shez has a deep background in multiple industries, primarily focused on middle-market companies. He has been a guest speaker at over 20 industry conferences addressing the IPO process, capital raising, valuation issues and merger methodologies. Shez received his BS from University of Illinois in 1987 and a MBA, with distinction, from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in 1992.

Joe Dews, Partner, Head of Semiconductor Investment Banking Group

Joe DewsJoe Dews is a Partner and Head of ThinkPanmure's Semiconductor Investment Banking group. Joe comes to ThinkPanmure with over 15 years in Technology Investment Banking as well as experience in the semiconductor and software industries. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Joe was a Managing Director and Head of Global Semiconductor Investment Banking at Needham & Company from 2001-2007. Other investment banking experience includes Managing Director and Head of Semiconductors and Infrastructure Software at Dain Rauscher Wessels and Managing Director and Head of Semiconductors at CIBC/Oppenheimer. His industry background includes serving as Vice President of Business Development at Versata, Inc. and as an FAE in the semiconductor industry with Cirrus Logic K.K in Tokyo, Japan. Joe graduated with a B.S. in Applied & Engineering Physics from Cornell University.

Doug Gonsalves, Partner, Co-Head of Mergers & Acquisitions

Doug GonsalvesDouglas Gonsalves is a Partner in the M&A Group and provides strategic advisory services to private and emerging public technology and growth companies. Doug has over 17 years of experience executing mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, private placements, recapitalizations, growth capital financings, privatizations, and preparing and delivering fairness opinions. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Doug was a Managing Director at SVB Alliant with responsibility for leading the firm's Software, Internet and Services group. Before joining SVB Alliant, Gonsalves served as a senior banker in the corporate finance and M&A groups of Merrill Lynch & Co. Gonsalves joined Merrill Lynch as Director and head of the firms growth company banking group in San Francisco, and later served in the middle market M&A group as co-head of Western U.S. activities and director of the Technology M&A practice. Gonsalves also served as Vice President in BancAmerica Robertson Stephens M&A group, and began his investment banking career in the M&A group of Banc of America Securities. Gonsalves earned an MBA with distinction from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University.

Robin Graham, Partner, Co-Head of Mergers & Acquisitions

Robin GrahamRobin Graham joined ThinkPanmure as a Partner in the Investment Banking M&A practice in May of 2007, having spent the previous thirteen years with Needham & Company. At Needham, Robin co-founded the firm's M&A practice, where he executed a number of transactions, many of which focused on the semiconductor sector. Robin is the co-author of "Equity Carve-outs and Spin-offs of Technology Operations", which was published in The Financier in November 1995. Robin completed graduate finance and accounting studies at the M.I.T. Sloan School of Management while he earned an A.B. from Harvard University.

Ted Mitchell, Partner, Private Placements

Ted MitchellTed is a Partner in the San Francisco office focusing on private placements and raising equity for public and private emerging growth companies. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Ted was a Managing Director at Merriman Curhan Ford & Co. Ted was a Managing Director at Trilogy Capital Partners prior to joining Merriman, which provides financial advisory services and private capital to emerging growth companies. Ted was also a Manager of Trilogys Information Technology Fund, a long/short hedge fund focused on small capitalization equities. Before joining Trilogy, Ted was a Managing Director and a Partner at Volpe Brown Whelan & Company. During his nine year career at Volpe, Ted advised a wide range of technology-focused emerging growth companies on their strategic financial alternatives. Ted was responsible for identifying, arranging, structuring and negotiating financing and merger transactions having worked on over 30 Initial Public Offerings and over 15 completed Merger and Acquisitions. Ted began his career with Advanced Micro Devices, a Silicon Valley-based semiconductor manufacturing company, Arthur Young & Company and Basic American Foods. Ted is a graduate of Menlo College in Atherton, California and a licensed CPA in the state of California.

Dan D'Agostino, Managing Director, Heath Care

Dan D'AgostinoDan D'Agostino joined ThinkPanmure in August 2007 as a Managing Director. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Dan served as Acting Chief Financial Officer and Chief Business Officer of Callisto Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Amex: KAL) beginning in 2004. Prior to Callisto he spent three years at Punk, Ziegel & Company, as a partner and co-head of healthcare investment banking. Prior to Punk, Ziegel & Company he headed up the biotechnology investment banking effort at Gerard Klauer Mattison. Dan began a career in investment banking in 1989 and since graduating from business school in 1993 has worked at several firms including BT Alex.Brown, Dillon Read and Wasserstein Perella in the LBO sponsors and M&A groups. He has led buyside and sellside advisory assignments, IPO's, public debt and equity financings, senior debt facilities and private placements. Dan earned an M.B.A. in finance and Masters Degree in int'l affairs from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Tulane University.

Jobalia co-founded Raymond James' Silicon Valley technology investment banking practice in Palo Alto, CA in 2003. Prior to business school, Jobalia co-founded The Loan Depot, a commercial mortgage company, and also worked as a Senior Research Engineer at Occidental Chemicals. Jobalia received a B.S. (Engineering) from University of Florida, M.S. (Engineering) from University of Houston, and a MBA from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago.

Jamie McGurk, Principal, Media & Communications

Jamie McGurkJamie is a Principal in the Media & Communications Investment Banking Group. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Jamie was an Associate in the Global Telecom group at HSBC. Jamie was also an Associate at Coqui Capital Partners where he focused on venture capital investments in telecom, technology and media. During his tenure at Coqui, Jamie participated as a principal on over twenty financing, restructuring and M&A transactions spanning the investment lifecycle - from early stage venture to buyout. Jamie was involved with thirteen portfolio companies and his responsibilities included participating in board meetings and advising management on strategy and operations. Jamie's previous experience includes JPMorgan M&A and Morgan Stanley's Fixed Income division. Jamie graduated with a BS in finance from Marist College and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Pooyan Mehdizadeh, Principal, Mergers & Acquisitions

Pooyan MehdizadehPooyan Mehdizadeh joined ThinkPanmure in May 2007 as a Principal in the Mergers & Acquisitions group. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Pooyan was a Vice President in Needham & Company's M&A group from February 2000 to May 2007, where he represented public and private technology companies. Pooyan has successfully completed over 45 transactions across the full spectrum of advisory assignments, including acquisitions, exclusives sales, divestitures, spin-offs, take-over defense assignments and cross-border transactions. Earlier in his career, Pooyan was a Consultant at Accenture Ltd. and subsequently a Manager at P&N Builders. Pooyan received a BS in Information and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Irvine.

Mark Nagel, Principal, Mergers & Acquisitions

Mark Nagel Mark is a Principal in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at ThinkPanmure. Mark has experience in healthcare, venture capital, and investment banking. Before joining ThinkPanmure, Mark was the CEO of HeartScan, a private company in California offering electron beam CT scanning services for the early detection of heart disease and cancer. Mark previously was a venture capitalist with Doughty Hanson & Co. in London, where he invested in early-stage technology companies throughout Europe. Before joining Doughty Hanson, Mark began his investment banking career in Merrill Lynch's M&A department in London. In the early 1990s, Mark worked for a year in Moscow as a financial consultant to the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. Mark received his PhD in political science from Harvard, his JD from Harvard Law School, and his BA in government and economics from Georgetown.

Before Pagemill, Scott was a Director at the Credit Suisse First Boston's Investment Banking Technology Group, where he focused on communications equipment and components and headed that firm's test and measurement practice. Scott began his investment banking career at Volpe Brown Whelan & Company, where he spent nine years and covered the communications, software, semiconductor and Internet infrastructure sectors. Scott also worked at Arthur Andersen as a management consultant. Scott earned MA and BA degrees from Stanford University.

Kelly Walters, Principal, Greentech & Emerging Technologies

Kelly WaltersKelly is a Principal in the New York office and is dedicated to the firm's Greentech & Emerging Technologies investment banking practice. Prior to joining ThinkPanmure, Kelly was a Director at Morgan Joseph & Co. where he most recently led that firm's alternative energy effort with a focus on biofuels. Kelly began his investment banking career at Lehman Brothers in 2000 and has since focused exclusively on the alternative energy, chemicals, and specialty materials sectors. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Kelly was a senior corporate planning analyst for Lexmark International. Kelly earned a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance with highest honors from the University of Kentucky. He is also a graduate of the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky with an MA in International Finance, Trade, and Investment Policy. Before attending business school, Steve was a Senior Associate in the Assurance & Advisory practice of Deloitte & Touche. He received his BS in Accountancy and a minor in Technology & Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with highest honors and his MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Steve is also a CPA and scored second in the nation on the May 2001 CPA exam.
