ThinkEquity acts as joint placement agent on Solar Power Partners Private Financing
SAN FRANCISCO, 14 May, 2010 — ThinkEquity LLC, the leading growth-economy focused investment bank, is pleased to advise that it has acted as a joint placement agent for Solar Power Partner’s $13.2 million private corporate financing.
Sojitz Corporation, a new strategic investor, and existing investors Energy Investors Funds and Globespan Capital Partners participated in the financing. Concurrent with the corporate financing, Solar Power Partners closed $115 million in project financing, expandable up to $215 million, for the construction of commercial solar energy facilities.
Solar Power Partners provides industry-leading system modeling, design, engineering, and construction management, and long-term operations and maintenance. Solar Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) allow customers to use clean solar energy without any upfront capital, while removing the risk of ongoing operations and maintenance. Solar Power Partner’s systems to date all produce at or above the expectations of both investors and customers.
