Media Keynote Speaker - Kay Koplovitz
Kay Koplovitz is a widely acclaimed national leader in the television and emerging media business. She was the first woman to head a television network when she founded USA Networks in 1977 under the banner of Madison Square Garden Sports. Ms. Koplovitz launched major professional and collegiate sports on cable television by negotiating the first ever contracts for Major League Baseball, the NBA and the NHL. Ms. Koplovitz serves on a number of boards including Liz Claiborne and Instinet. She is on the non-profit board of the Museum of Television and Radio, the Partnership for New York City, The Central Park Conservancy and the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Ms. Koplovitz co-founded Boldcap Ventures in 2001, a vc firm specializing in technology, life sciences, and media.
